A Production Company ident creates a brand image for a company and is found at the start of a production. in less than 10 seconds, it offers a brand's visual identity to the world.
We created a production company ident for BLACKLIGHT PRODUCTIONS.
To begin with, we started to come up ideas on we we would like it to be. We then ended up deciding that we want to the ident to have a scientific theme. Then we look through the titles templates and the generators that Final Cut Pro have it itself.
From the first idea that it is going to be a slow scanned white light into a fast movement of lights onto a light blue tone background. Our ideas for sound effect has also changed to match the speed of the lights, so we started to find a suitable sound effect from Youtube.
In our finishing ident, the visual and sound codes fit perfectly well together, it create a scientific feelings and this fits our film opening sequence genre.
